It’s been a pretty tough year for all of us.
When we set out to create a Mother’s Day campaign for 2021 with notonthehighstreet, it gave us a moment to reflect on the fact it’s been a whole year since the UK was first put into lockdown.
For the 365 days of distance, of home school, home bakes and home everything, for 365 days of mayhem, magic and patchy wifi, there are 365 reasons to say ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ to the mums who’ve been there every step of the way.
We reached out to mums across the UK to share with us their footage over the last year. We wanted to share how they coped, how they kept themselves going, and let them know they’re not in this alone — whether surrounded by family 24/7 or stuck on the other end of a screen.
Our message to everyone — there are 365 reasons to say ‘Happy Mother’s Day’, so in whatever way you can this year, find your way to say it.
We created this 2-minute video for digital and social, with 15s cutdown for paid and stories. Just 48 hours after releasing the film, it had amassed 200k organic views and a slew of incredible, heartwarming comments from viewers — and it soon smashed notonthehighstreet’s records for most likes, shares and comments.
