Meet the new cup that might just change your life

Digital Campaign: Creative & Production

Rethinking period care

Half the planet have periods… but it’s not always a good experience. DAME have created award-winning sustainable period care products that are not only effective, they are helping to reduce the tsunami of plastic waste that stems from them.

Enter their latest product, The DAME Period Cup. Free from nasties, super soft and flexible, it’s the UK’s first self sanitising cup -so no need to boil, just rinse and go.

We worked with the wonderful team at Sister Motion to create two films that help to demystify the world of reusable period cups and answer the questions people might have about using them.

As someone who has real life, lived experience of making the move to reusable period cups, DAME enlisted the funny and passionate Hayley Morris to front the films. Embracing her frank and honest side kick ‘Brain,’ she brought her wonderful warmth and humour to help those who might be a little apprehensive about giving them a try.

“Creating high quality digital content was completely new for us. Friendly Giants immediately put us at ease, and made us confident they could deliver our vision. We had a lot of ideas, and a small window of time with the amazing Hayley Morris to capture it all. With Friendly Giants' experience, creativity and fastidious planning, we managed to get absolutely everything we wanted.”

— Richard Johnson, Head of Impact, DAME

Striking the right tone between being educational and funny, like a chat with your best friend on the sofa with a cup of tea in hand, we wanted to create films that didn’t feel sterile, just nice, cozy vibes all round.

The films were scripted and shot to be modular so they could easily be cut and re-edited into smaller, bite sized pieces of content for use on social, to help introduce new people to the world of reusable period cups.
